What is Cervicalgia?
Simply, this is pain in the neck and shoulder that varies in intensity. Cervicalgia is a pain from the bottom of the head to the top of the shoulder area. Other symptoms of cervicalgia are stiffness or spasms in the neck, limited neck movement, tenderness in the shoulders, and headaches. It is caused by poor posture, injuries involving a sudden movement of the neck, long-term stress on the neck, arthritis, osteoporosis, or diseases/conditions on the spine. It is important to treat cervicalgia as soon as possible before other symptoms develop, such as a feeling of numbness or shooting pain in the arms. In addition, cervicalgia can affect the quality of life tremendously depending on pain level.
